Tech giant continues to release security updates regularly, as it does every month. May 2024 update addresses numerous vulnerabilities
Security updates initially released by Google for Pixel devices are subsequently optimized and released by Samsung for Galaxy devices. Updates have been made available for dozens of phones and tablets so far, with more becoming downloadable now. The May update has been announced for Galaxy A34, Galaxy A72, Galaxy M53, and Tab S7.
The update with software version A725FXXS8FXE3 for the Galaxy A72 is available in Russia, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan, while the update with model number M536BXXS6EXE1 for the Galaxy M53 has been released in some Asian and Latin American countries. Additionally, the update announced for the Galaxy Tab S7 with version T875XXS7DXE6 is downloadable for users across many European countries. The package for the Galaxy A34 5G, with software version A346BXXU7CXE1, has been released for the European market.
If your device hasn’t received the update yet, it will be arriving soon. While the May 2024 update does not introduce any new features, it addresses a total of 58 vulnerabilities (33 applicable to all Android devices and 25 specific to Galaxy devices). If you wish to update your device, you can go to the Software Update section in the Settings app and click on Download and Install.
