Samsung Galaxy A55 5G will be powered by Exynos 1480 SoC
Earlier, there were benchmarks of the phone, but the new Geekbench 6 listing reveals the Galaxy A55 5G with the model number SM-A556B. According to the listing, the upcoming phone gets single-core score of 1127 and multi-core score of 3090. One of the most significant specs of the phone is its chipset. The leaks revealed that the Galaxy A55 5G will be powered by Exynos 1480 SoC.
The phone will offer better performance than its predecessor, the Galaxy A54, which is powered by Exynos 1380 SoC. For more details about the performance, we need to wait for the GPU benchmark scores, but you should know that the Exynos 1480 will feature the Xclipse 530 GPU.
According to previous rumors, the Exynos 1480 SoC (S5E8845) is expected to have four powerful cores running at 2.75GHz and four energy-efficient cores running at 2.05GHz. The information also indicates that the device will come with 8GB of RAM and run on Android 14.
The Samsung Galaxy A55 5G is claimed to be equipped with a 50-megapixel main, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide, and a 32-megapixel selfie camera. While there are no details about the battery size, the phone will have 25W fast charging support. The upcoming device will likely be available sometime in January 2024.
