Wearable technology has become an important area for technology giants in recent years. Samsung, one of the leading names in this field, introduced its new wearable ring, the Galaxy Ring, at the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2024) held in Barcelona. Details about the device continue to emerge.
Galaxy Ring’s battery life will be between 5-9 days
Samsung conducted a small launch for the Galaxy Ring earlier this year. The tech giant unveiled the product to the world at MWC 2024. The event mainly focused on the design details of the model. There wasn’t much information provided about the device’s technical specifications.
During the presentation, while details about the device’s features were not disclosed, Samsung’s President of Mobile Experience (MX), TM Roh, revealed some technical specifications. According to the announcement, the Galaxy Ring’s battery life can last up to 9 days on a single charge. However, with frequent usage, it can drop to 5 days.
The Galaxy Ring is available in three different color options: silver, gold, and black. The slogan of the device is “A new health form factor that facilitates daily healthy living.” This means it allows you to track your health data without using a Galaxy Watch, and it can gently notify you of incoming notifications from smartphones through subtle vibrations.
It will also feature the “Vitality Score” function in the health application. However, to use this feature, you need to have a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. According to the initial information provided, the ring has measurements ranging from 5 to 13 for different finger sizes. It is not expected to be custom-made for individuals, but adjustable fittings can be made to accommodate each finger with additional attachments that can be placed under the ring.
