Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra will unfortunately not meet expectations in terms of battery capacity. The latest reports indicate that the flagship Samsung model, which is expected to be released in January 2025, will not have exciting improvements in battery power compared to its predecessor.
Galaxy S25 Ultra may lag behind its competitors due to battery power
91Mobiles platform has confirmed an important detail of the Galaxy S25 Ultra with a list detected in the database of regulatory agencies in China. The list in question actually indicates a battery capacity of 4,885 mAh. But it seems likely that this capacity will be rounded up to 5,000 mAh for marketing purposes. Therefore, this is the same value as the battery of the previous model of the series, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra.
No changes are planned for the fast charging feature. This feature will be almost identical to the power seen in the previous model about a year ago. The company’s progress at these levels, which cannot meet expectations in battery power, will lead to a more disadvantageous position against its competitors.
As it is known, other manufacturers such as OPPO, OnePlus, Vivo, HONOR and Xiaomi will launch their upcoming high-end models with batteries such as 6,000 mAh. In this sense, Samsung’s flagship phone will be slightly behind.
What to expect from the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra?
Although it seems that the Galaxy S25 Ultra model that Samsung will launch next year will not meet expectations in terms of battery power, it will attract attention with its powerful features. According to rumors, the device will come with a 200 MP main camera. However, we will encounter a 50 MP ultra wide-angle lens and a 50 MP telephoto lens. The model, which will be equipped with Exynos 2500 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 for Galaxy chip, will be announced at the Galaxy Unpacked event in January 2025.
