Today, we’re visiting our office with the Galaxy Watch 8, Samsung’s latest smartwatch, released by the end of 2025. This model is not only the newest member of the family, but also the thinnest Samsung watch ever produced. The 40mm version we unboxed is strikingly thin, but its protruding design may spark mixed opinions. The increased screen brightness to 3000 nits and the ease of use provided by its digital bezel are among the key design advantages.
One of the watch’s biggest advantages is its comfort. Thanks to its thin design and light weight, you’ll almost forget it’s on your wrist. Its unobtrusive nature is a major advantage, especially for those who want to track their sleep while sleeping. While the battery capacity has been increased, it offers a battery life of 1.5 to 2 days under heavy use. While this is acceptable for smartwatches, it may not fully satisfy users who expect a long battery life. However, fast charging support somewhat compensates for this.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 Review
On the software front, the WearOS and One UI Watch interface still offer a seamless experience, but the real star of this watch is Google Gemini integration. Unlike traditional assistants, you can now get much more detailed, conversational answers to questions you ask your watch. The instant syncing and seamless operation of apps like Spotify, YouTube Music, and WhatsApp with your phone provides significant convenience for those using the Samsung ecosystem.
The Galaxy AI-powered coaching system also stands out for its health and fitness features. Features like energy score, sleep guidance, ECG, blood pressure measurement, and the newly added high-stress alert transform the watch into a health assistant. Detailed post-workout data and motivational notifications are highly beneficial for athletes. You can manage all this data and watch settings in detail through the Galaxy Wearable app.
In short, the Galaxy Watch 8 is a highly successful model with its technical specifications and screen quality. However, there is a significant price difference from the previous generation, the Watch 7. If you’re looking for the latest and thinnest watch, the Watch 8 is the right choice. But if you’re looking for value for money, the Watch 7 remains a very sensible option. What do you think of this new model? Let’s talk in the comments.
