Samsung has recently rolled out the October 2024 security update for the Galaxy S22 series, which includes the Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra. This update, identified by the model number S90xBXXSCEXI4, is currently available for Exynos variants in Europe. Snapdragon models are expected to receive their updates soon.
October 2024 update is available for the Samsung Galaxy S22 series
The October update addresses 42 security vulnerabilities, with 30 affecting all Android devices and 12 specifically targeting Galaxy smartphones and tablets. Notably, while there is a fix for a security flaw in certain Exynos processors, the Exynos 2200 powering the Galaxy S22 series is not impacted.
Additionally, Samsung has also released the October 2024 update for the popular Galaxy A54 model. If you haven’t received the update notification on your device, you can manually check by going to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install. If you still can’t find the update, it might take a little longer to reach your device.
