Samsung has indefinitely halted the Android 15-based One UI 7 update due to a serious system bug. The update was rolled out to the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 models as of April 7. However, due to problems experienced by some users, the distribution process was pulled back in many regions.
Samsung is officially halting the One UI 7 update
According to the latest information obtained, the screen lock function is disabled on some devices where the update is installed. Therefore, users cannot unlock the screen, thus making the devices almost completely inaccessible.

The fact that the problem is seen in both Exynos 2400 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor models has greatly strengthened the possibility that it is a software-related problem. Samsung has not yet made an official statement regarding the cause of this error.
Following complaints from users in the first countries where it was released, the update was officially pulled from the servers. The update, which was released in the US as of April 10, was also halted.
Samsung’s software update schedule has also entered uncertainty with this development. For some countries, such as Germany, whether previously announced update plans will be implemented or not will depend on how long it takes to fix the bug.
It is not known when the One UI 7 update will be available for redistribution. However, Samsung’s software team is working on the bug detection and fix process. So what do you think about this? You can easily share your thoughts with us in the comments section below.
