With Samsung starting to roll out the One UI 7 update on April 7, attention has now turned to the company’s next version — One UI 8. Unfortunately, not all models will receive the new update. So, which Samsung devices won’t get the One UI 8 update? Here are the details!
Samsung Models That Won’t Receive the One UI 8 Update
In recent years, Samsung has significantly improved its software support. Mid-range models released after the Galaxy A16 5G will receive six years of support, while flagship devices launched with the Galaxy S24 series will get seven years. Older models, however, will stick to their originally promised support periods.

This means software support has ended for some models. According to sources, the Galaxy S21 series will not receive the Android 16 update. This is because Samsung provides four major Android updates for these devices. The Galaxy S21 series launched with Android 11 and will receive its fourth and final major update with Android 15.
