While Samsung hasn’t yet begun distributing the October 2025 security patch, it has shared all the details on its website. The vast majority of Galaxy phones included in the monthly update schedule are expected to receive this update before the end of the month.
26 Critical Vulnerabilities Closed
According to the published details, the new security patch addresses a total of 26 vulnerabilities. 14 of these are in the Android operating system, while the remaining 12 are in Samsung-specific software.

All 14 Android vulnerabilities in the patch are classified as high priority. It’s noteworthy that none of the vulnerabilities are rated “critical” or “medium/low.” Samsung has also developed fixes for 12 specific vulnerabilities identified in its own software within this patch. While Google’s latest Android patch includes six additional fixes, these are not applicable to Samsung devices.
Devices included in Samsung’s monthly update schedule will receive their security updates with this patch. However, some Galaxy phones and tablets that don’t receive monthly updates will not receive these fixes this month. These devices will receive these patches and other fixes along with subsequent security patches, depending on their current update schedule.
Users are advised to monitor their devices for update notifications and install the update as soon as the patch rollout begins.
