Samsung is releasing the Android 16-based One UI 8 update in July. The update will be released alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. The company is quickly bringing the update to users this time after the delays experienced in the previous version, One UI 7.
One UI 8 update will come to foldable devices
The fact that One UI 7 has not yet been released in the stable version has led to criticism among users. Even six months after the release of Android 15, the absence of One UI 7 was noticeable. However, this time Samsung is going beyond the standard update schedule and is directly switching to One UI 8.

The company has completely skipped the intermediate versions One UI 7.1 and 7.1.1. The internal testing process for the new version has been initiated. This confirms that One UI 8 will be released in July, along with the new foldable devices.
Google is implementing an accelerated release schedule for Android 16. The stable version is planned to be released in June or July. This schedule will allow Samsung to get ahead of the Pixel series by releasing its new devices with Android 16.
The launch date of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 has not been finalized yet. However, last year’s Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 models were introduced on July 10, 2024 and went on sale on July 24. The same schedule is expected to be followed this year.
This means that the new foldable models will be introduced in mid-July and go on sale by the end of the month. So what do you think about this? You can share your opinions with us in the comments section below.
