Samsung continues to roll out its stable One UI 8 update based on Android 16 at full speed. In the latest wave, a total of four smartphones, including two foldable flagships and two mid-range models, have received the new software: the Galaxy Z Fold4, Galaxy Z Flip4, Galaxy M36, and Galaxy F36.
Flagships Updated with New Security Patch
The One UI 8 stable update released for the Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4 comes with firmware versions F936BXXUAIYIF and F721BXXUAIYIF, respectively. This major update, weighing over 3GB, includes the October 2025 Android security patch and is currently rolling out to users in Asia, Africa, and Europe.

Fold and Flip owners will begin to benefit from the new Android 16 features, as well as the enhanced interface and performance optimizations brought by One UI 8.
For users in India, the One UI 8 stable update has begun rolling out to the Galaxy M36 and Galaxy F36. These updates, which are approximately 2.3 GB in download size, include the September 2025 Android security patch, unlike flagships.
