Samsung to introduce the Galaxy A26, A36 and A56 models on March 2
Samsung’s new Galaxy A series phones have been officially announced in India. The Galaxy A26, A36 and A56 models, which will be introduced on March 2, will come out of the box with One UI 7 based on Android 15. The company’s announcement that it will provide operating system updates for these new models for a full six years is considered a big surprise. If Samsung keeps its promise, these devices will receive updates up to Android 21.

It is quite rare for mid-range phones to offer such long software support. While flagship models are usually supported for a maximum of five years, Samsung’s long-term update plan for the Galaxy A series has been appreciated by users.
The new models are expected to go on sale in the global market soon after their launch in India.
Considering the steps Samsung has taken regarding software updates, it is quite possible that the new Galaxy A models will also receive long-term support. However, it is still too early to say for sure whether the updates will come on time and in full.
