Samsung Electronics has officially confirmed its long-awaited humanoid robot development efforts. The company is preparing to use these in-house-produced humanoid robots on production lines and in logistics processes.
Samsung is coming up with a humanoid robot project
Samsung plans to use these robots in critical processes such as smartphone assembly, semiconductor manufacturing, and logistics. This move will increase production line efficiency and give Samsung the opportunity to test next-generation technologies directly in its own operational environment.

Speaking on the subject at the International Robotics Symposium in Goyang, South Korea, Oh Jun-ho, head of the Future Robot Development Team, stated that the humanoid robot market is still in its infancy, but the need for such solutions in the industry is constantly growing.
Jun-ho emphasized that Samsung’s role as both a technology manufacturer and a user of these robots gives the company a significant advantage in this field. These developments, which signal the imminent arrival of the era of humanoid robots in factories, demonstrate Samsung’s serious approach to the project.
The company is developing the core components of the humanoid robots in-house. These components include motors, robotic arms, and software systems.
It was also announced that Samsung is collaborating with NVIDIA, a leading company in the robotics sector. Samsung Electronics is expected to unveil its humanoid robot prototype to the public soon. This information indicates that the project has reached an advanced stage in development and the company is close to achieving concrete results.
