Samsung is set to expand its foldable phone range beyond the Galaxy Z series with two special devices. According to leaks, the tech giant will introduce the Galaxy Z Fold6 Special Edition and Samsung W25 Flip in select markets next year.
Samsung W25 family leaked
The Galaxy Z Fold6 Special Edition will first be released in Samsung’s home country of South Korea under the same name. It will have similar specs to the Galaxy Z Fold6, but will stand out as a special edition device. It is also expected to feature some design changes. There is no information yet about the sales situation outside Korea.
Samsung will launch the Samsung W25 in China instead of the Galaxy Z series. However, in a surprise move, the W25 will come in two different designs. It will be in the form of the standard horizontally foldable W25 and the vertically foldable W25 Flip.
According to the TENAA listing, the W25 Flip has a 6.7-inch internal display and a 3.4-inch external display. It’s powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and offers 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Both the rear and front cameras look identical to the Z Flip6, with 50MP + 12MP and 10MP respectively. With dimensions of 165.1 x 71.9 x 6.9 mm and a weight of 198 grams, it’s slightly thicker and heavier than Samsung’s other devices.
It is not yet clear whether these variants will reach the global market. But for now, it seems that they will at least reach users in Korea and China.
