Samsung has entered the world of artificial intelligence laptops with the Galaxy Book5 series, which will be released in early 2025. Powered by Intel Arrow Lake Core Ultra processors, the series will support artificial intelligence features such as Google Circle to Search.
What does the new Samsung Galaxy Book5 Pro offer?
There are three models in the Samsung Galaxy Book5 family. These will be the 16-inch and 14-inch Galaxy Book5 Pro and 15.6-inch Galaxy Book5 360. One of the most important innovations in the entire series will be the integration of artificial intelligence called “AI Select”.
Mimicking tools like Google Circle to Search, AI Select will allow users to search for information related to any item they circle on their screen. Beyond AI Select, Galaxy Book5 uses the Arrow Lake NPU for on-device image enhancement. This means it will sharpen blurry images.
Galaxy Book5 Pro models have AMOLED touch screens. The 16-inch model also offers 2,880 x 1,800 resolution and 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. The 16-inch model is only 12.5 mm thick and weighs 1.56 kg, while the 14-inch model comes down to 11.7 mm and 1.23 kg.
Featuring a 360-degree hinge, the Galaxy Book5 360 offers both laptop and tablet use. Its 15.6-inch AMOLED touchscreen display has a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 and a refresh rate of 60Hz.
All three models offer configurations with Intel Core Ultra 7 Evo processors, while the base 14-inch Pro and 360 models come with Core Ultra 5 Evo. The new models will be available in the US and Europe starting in February.
