The recently released One UI 6.1.1 update brings many new features to the Galaxy AI AI on the Samsung Galaxy S22 series, but some users are reporting serious problems.
According to emerging reports, after installing the update, owners are claiming that their phones are entering a boot loop, slowing down or crashing.
Galaxy S22 series shows crash and freezing issues
Many users with the S22 series are complaining on social media that their devices freeze, slow down or get stuck in a boot loop. On the other hand, some other sources say that the flagships randomly reboot several times during the day.
The reports started after users installed the update released in September 22 for the Galaxy S2024 series. Complaints also appeared on social media and official Samsung forums.
Interestingly, multiple users claim that they contacted a Samsung authorized representative and were informed that the problem was caused by a faulty motherboard.
Since the Galaxy S22 series was launched, it seems likely that the models will be out of warranty. This will cause the repair to come out of the consumer’s pocket even if the situation is caused by faulty software.
It’s worth remembering that this isn’t the first time the Galaxy S22 series has faced update-related issues. When One UI 6.1 was released a few months ago, Samsung had to suspend the distribution of the update for a few weeks to resolve some issues after user complaints.
