Google’s newest flagship, the Pixel 10 series, has been plagued by a frustrating issue. Users have reported strange, colored lines appearing periodically on the phones’ screens. While these lines initially appear to be a hardware issue, their disappearance suggests a software issue. Google recently released an update to address this issue.
New update released for Pixel 10
Shortly after the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL models went on sale on August 28th, complaints began that their screens were momentarily displaying red, green, or white lines.

Following the increasing number of complaints, Google released a software update, build number BD3A.250721.001.B7. Interestingly, the official patch notes don’t explicitly mention the screen lines. The closest they can come to addressing this is a fix for a black screen that occurs when loading web pages in Chrome.
Google states that only a small group of users are affected by the screen issue. The company stated that it will release additional fixes in the future. Users experiencing issues despite the update should contact Google support or the retailer where they purchased the device.
This is a serious issue that has emerged shortly after the launch of Google’s new flagship series. Considering the Pixel series is generally known for its software experience, the emergence of such a bug is striking.
