The uncertainty about the 2nd season of Hawkeye, one of the favourite productions of the Marvel universe, is increasing. Recent statements made by lead actor Jeremy Renner have raised questions about the future of the series.
Unpleasant development about Hawkeye’s new season
Although there has been no official announcement from the Marvel front, the rumours circulating in the lobbies indicate that the second season of the series will evolve in a different direction. Renner stated in a podcast programme that Marvel offered him half of his first season salary for the new season.

Renner, who clearly stated that he rejected this offer, said that he will not take part in the second season of the series. This exit of the actor also brought up the possibility of cancellation of the planned continuation season of the series. However, a different claim shortly afterwards revealed that Marvel is considering a main character change instead of completely cancelling the series.
Hawkeye, whose first season aired in 2021, devoted a large space to the character of Clint Barton, played by Jeremy Renner, and the character of Kate Bishop, played by Hailee Steinfeld. Now, according to the allegations, Marvel is preparing to shape the story through Bishop by completely disabling Renner in the second season.
It is known that the character played by Hailee Steinfeld is in an important position in Marvel’s long-term plans. Kate Bishop, who is expected to take an active role in projects such as Young Avengers, has become a figure that appeals especially to the young audience.
