Sega is planning a big launch at Gamescom 2024 next week. To that end, the company has revealed some of the games that will be playable at its booth. Starring Sonic the Hedgehog and Shadow the Hedgehog, Sonic X Shadow Generations.

Sonic X Shadow Generations will launch on October 20, 2024 for PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch. Attendees at Gamescom will be able to try out new story campaigns featuring both Sonic and Shadow.
The other confirmed playable game is Metaphor: ReFantazio, a new RPG from Atlus. This marks the first time the game will be shared with users. Little is known about the game, but it is rumored to be set in a magical world.
In addition, Sega said that a completely unannounced project will complete the demo lineup on the show floor. No details about this mysterious game have been revealed for now.
On the other hand, Sega announced a while ago that it will revive its iconic games such as Crazy Taxi remake. It seems likely that Gamescom 2024 will host these games. The company also announced that the bar was set high. According to the company, the quality of the game will be AAA level.
For those who don’t know, Crazy Taxi was released in arcades in 1999 and gained widespread popularity with console versions, especially Dreamcast. The game puts players in the driver’s seat and asks them to navigate crowded city streets, picking up and dropping off passengers within a time limit and performing various stunts to score points.
