Apple’s new AirPods Pro 3 headphones are now available for pre-order. The product, which will be available on September 19th, also comes with an interesting detail. While the previous AirPods Pro 2 model included a charging cable in the box, the AirPods Pro 3 does not and is sold separately.

According to the specifications, the AirPods Pro 3 comes with a USB-C MagSafe charging case and five sizes of silicone ear tips. The USB-C charging cable is not included. The price for this cable is 870 TL at the Apple Store.
The 1-meter cable supports charging up to 60 watts and transfers data at USB 2 speeds. This practice, which Apple initiated last year with the AirPods Pro 4 models, continues with the new model.
The company attributes its decision to exclude accessories such as the charging cable and power adapter from the box to environmental considerations. The AirPods Pro 3 box is reportedly smaller than the previous model.
This means 25% more product is included in each shipment. It’s also reported that the AirPods Pro 3 is made from 40% recycled materials and 40% of the electricity used in its production comes from renewable sources. However, the environmental reasons behind this move remain controversial.
This decision for the latest model demonstrates that Apple is continuing the same strategy not only for phones but also for other products like headphones. This approach leaves users with additional costs.
