Fans of the iconic horror game series Silent Hill began to speculate after several retailers began offering online pre-orders for the Silent Hill 2 Remake. In particular, US retailer GameStop briefly opened pre-orders and then promptly removed them from its platforms.
When GameStop was asked about Silent Hill 2 Remake, it gives an exciting answer

Back in June, an Australian retailer listed the Bloober Team-developed Silent Hill 2 Remake with a tentative release date of fall 2023. However, many in the gaming community considered this to be merely a placeholder.
Given that we’re now in November, it may not be possible for Sony to announce such a high-profile game next month, especially with the release of Spider-Man 2 as this fall’s most important PS5 exclusive. Still, hopes are growing that we might get some concrete release information in the near future.
Adding fuel to the fire, a Reddit user claiming to work at a game store has revealed insider information suggesting that pre-orders for Silent Hill 2 Remake will be available soon and that a new trailer will be released. The user also noted that the game is expected to be priced at $69.99 ($1,987~).
