Apple’s voice assistant, Siri, is poised for a major transformation in the age of artificial intelligence. The company aims to fundamentally transform the user experience by enhancing the next-generation Siri with Google Gemini integration. This strategic move could upend the long-held perception of the assistant.
How will Siri work with the Google Gemini model?
According to information reported by Bloomberg technology editor Mark Gurman, Apple plans to use Google’s Gemini AI model as the foundation of Siri. This doesn’t mean directly integrating Google services. Instead, Apple will pay Google for a specially trained Gemini-based model.

A key detail is that this specialized model will run on Apple’s own Private Cloud Compute servers. This will allow Siri to utilize advanced Gemini processing power while maintaining Apple’s user interface and privacy expectations. This new version of Siri will also introduce an AI-powered web search feature.
The revamped Siri is expected to be released around March 2026. This launch will also be compatible with Apple’s new smart home display, Apple TV, and HomePod mini. These devices will serve as showcases to showcase the new Siri and Apple Intelligence features. However, Gurman is cautious about whether users will adopt this new system smoothly.
