Skull and Bones was released in February after 11 years of development and received mixed feedback from players. Ubisoft stated that it broke records in player engagement, but did not give any clear information about sales figures. With the start of the second season, the game will be available to play for free on all platforms for a short period of time.
Skull and Bones will be available to everyone for free for one week
To celebrate the second season of Skull and Bones, Ubisoft will be offering the game for free on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and PC from May 30 to June 6.
During this time, players will be able to experience the full game and carry over their progress to the full version. Ubisoft will also offer the game at a 50 percent discount during this period.
The second season will launch on May 28 and will be packed with new content. While Ubisoft didn’t reveal much about the new season, they did manage to build a little excitement with a story trailer and short description.
The short video reads as follows: “Sent by the Compagnie Royale to take over the Indian Ocean and eliminate pirates, the Hubac Twins will take the seas by storm with their dangerous skills.”
Skull and Bones has received mixed reviews from critics, who have criticized the game for its mundane missions and tedious navigation, even if it does offer a captivating experience at times. In-game skirmishes and moments of interaction with other players provide short bursts of excitement, but overall the game has been criticized for its repetitive missions.
Skull and Bones’ free trial week is a good opportunity for those who want to try the game. While the game can offer some fun and captivating moments for some players, in the long run it struggles with repetitive missions and monotony.
The free trial can help you decide whether or not to try and buy the game. What do you think? Please don’t forget to share your thoughts with us in the comments section below.
