Spiegel also assured that there would be no issues with privacy, stating: “Sponsored Snaps allow advertisers to visually communicate with the Snapchat community by integrating with Snapchat’s core functionalities. The reason for the upcoming test of these ads is attributed to the recent significant declines in the stock market. Snapchat’s shares, like others, have also been affected and have fallen to nearly their all-time low. Spiegel added: “The growth of digital advertising is one of the most crucial inputs for our long-term revenue potential, and investors are concerned about our slower growth.”
