The benchmark results of Qualcomm’s 2025 flagship chipset, Snapdragon 8 Elite 2, have been leaked. The new processor draws attention especially with its CPU and GPU performance. According to Geekbench 6 test results, Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 surpasses its predecessor Snapdragon 8 Elite with scores exceeding 4,000 points in single core and 11,000 points in multi-core. It is known that the first-generation model scored 3,100 and 9,800 points in these tests, respectively.
In Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 benchmark test
Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 was developed based on Oryon Gen 2 architecture. While the 2+6 core structure is preserved, the base frequency is 4.4GHz and the highest clock speed is up to 5GHz. This increase indicates a significant leap in performance.

Adreno 840 GPU was preferred as the processor’s graphics unit. In addition, 16MB GMEM cache was integrated into the chip. The production process uses TSMC’s third-generation 3nm N3P technology.
The chipset is considered to be a direct competitor to Apple’s A19 processor with its 100 TOPS (trillion operations per second) NPU capacity and high frequency values. Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 is expected to be used first in the Xiaomi 16 and Xiaomi 16 Pro models.
OnePlus 15, iQOO 15, Honor Magic 8, Realme GT 8 Pro, Nubia Red Magic 11 and Redmi K90 series are also among the models that will receive power from this processor. In the Xiaomi 16 Ultra, the possibility of using the company’s own Xring processor instead of Qualcomm’s is on the agenda.
The official introduction of Qualcomm’s new generation processor will be held at the Snapdragon Summit event planned to be held in September. So what do you think about this chipset? You can share your opinions with us in the comments section below.
