What will Xiaomi 14 Pro offer to users?
Digital Chat Station, known for industry leaks, has revealed the key features of the upcoming Xiaomi 14 Pro model. According to this leak, the phone will feature a 50-megapixel 1/1.28″ main camera sensor with an aperture ranging from f/1.4 to f/4.0. It’s worth noting that the variable aperture feature, expected to be present in the device, is currently only found in the company’s 13 Ultra model.
The main camera to be used in the device is likely to be a 1-inch Sony IMX9xx series sensor. Additionally, it will come with two 50-megapixel auxiliary sensors, with one of them rumored to be a telephoto macro sensor. Furthermore, the smartphone will have titanium alloy frames and will also offer 5G connectivity support.
The smartphone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. Qualcomm has set the launch date for the new processor as October 2023. The new processor will be showcased at the annual Snapdragon Summit, which is scheduled to take place in Maui, Hawaii, from October 24th to 26th.
In addition to the launch date, the new processor also appears to bring significant performance improvements. According to the information, the processor will host a 3.7 GHz Cortex-X4 core, which represents a substantial boost in performance. Changes in the core architecture of the processor are also expected.
The current flagship chipset in use, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, features a Cortex-X3 architecture and operates at 3.2 GHz. This means that the new processor is likely to have a noticeable impact on daily performance. Furthermore, it is expected that the new processor will follow a 1+5+2 architecture, consisting of one “super-large” core, five “big” cores, and two “small” cores.
The leak also mentions that the smartphone will have a slim-bezel 2K display and a 4860 mAh battery. Finally, it is worth noting that the device will support 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. Xiaomi’s new flagship smartphones are expected to be released in the first week of November.
