iQOO, which started its activities as a subsidiary of Vivo in 2019 but now operates independently, is set to unveil the iQOO 12 series soon. Thanks to leaks that have surfaced so far, there are no doubts about the performance of the standard model. Today, a new report focuses on the high-end features of the iQOO 12 Pro model.
iQOO 12 Pro features revealed
Digital Chat Station, known for industry leaks, has revealed the technical specifications of the iQOO 12 Pro model. According to the information, the smartphone will come with the latest E7 AMOLED display produced by Samsung. Additionally, this panel is expected to have curved edges, a resolution of 1.5K, and support for a 144Hz refresh rate.
The phone will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, offering a significant performance boost with a 3.7GHz Cortex-X4 core. Changes in the core architecture of the processor are also expected.
The current Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, which is the latest used in today’s devices, has a Cortex-X3 architecture and operates at 3.2 GHz. This implies that the performance in daily use will be directly affected. Moreover, the new processor is expected to have a 1+5+2 architecture, consisting of one “super large” core, five “large” cores, and two “small” cores.
The iQOO 12 Pro will have a metal build and support IP68 certification. It will be sold with RAM options up to 16 GB and storage options up to 1 TB. Additionally, the device will feature an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and a USB Type-C 3.x port. It will house a main camera with a 50-megapixel OV50H sensor. Finally, it will be powered by a 5,400 mAh battery that supports up to 120W fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging.
The iQOO 12, expected to be unveiled in December, is anticipated to run the Android 14-based Origin OS 4.0 interface right out of the box.
