Mobile processors today offer performance above the expectations of standard users. According to leaked information, Qualcomm will come up with a faster processor than the Apple M2 used in MacBooks. Here are the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 specifications.
Here are Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 specs
Qualcomm plans to bring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, carrying the company’s first custom Orion cores, to smartphones next year. While we expect these processor designs to be impressive and possibly rival Apple’s A-series chipsets, there’s a rumor that claims we should also pay attention to silicon’s new Adreno 830 graphics interface.
3DMark Wife Life Extreme test results claim that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4’s next-gen graphics processor is 10 percent faster than Apple’s M2. The Adreno 830 is said to score 7,200 points, which equates to a 10 percent performance difference between the M2 with its 8-core GPU. It’s worth noting that there are two M2 models, each with a different number of GPUs, with the high-end configuration reaching a maximum of 10 GPU cores.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 will go through TSMC’s N3E manufacturing process using 3nm technology. The new processor is expected to be the first processor to be released with NUVIA cores.
Qualcomm will include 2 NUVIA Phoenix I and 6 NUVIA Phoenix M cores in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor. The processor, which will be released with the code SM8750, will be 40 percent faster than Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
GeekBench scores of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor are also among the leaked information. The flagship processor managed to score 2,070 points in the single core test and 9,100 points in the multi-core test.
