Qualcomm is gearing up for its latest flagship chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. The company, which wants to make significant improvements in CPU and GPU performance, has come up with a new benchmark result. The mobile chipset’s image processing performance will be the best ever.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 GPU performance revealed
According to new rumors, Qualcomm is putting a lot of emphasis on the graphics performance of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. Information from China has revealed that the Adreno GPU in the 8 Gen 4 is powerful enough to run Genshin Impact at 1080p resolution.
If this claim is true, Qualcomm’s new chip seems to have made great advances in graphics processing capabilities. For those who don’t know, Genshin Impact can be played at 720p resolution on Android due to hardware limitations.
In addition, the development of Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 seems to have been completed earlier than planned. Chinese sources report that Qualcomm will launch shortly after China’s National Day, which falls on October 1.
This seems to be in line with the Xiaomi 15 series that will debut in October. We can expect other brands like iQOO and OnePlus to introduce Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 devices before the end of the year.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, which will allegedly undergo the 3 nm fabrication process, will consist of two Cortex-X5 cores clocked at 4 GHz and six Cortex-A730 cores clocked at 2.8 GHz. Thus, it is rumored that the processor will even challenge the Apple M3.
