Two of gaming’s most iconic mascots are joining forces. Sonic the Hedgehog and Pac-Man are crossing over in not one but two collaborations spanning Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds and Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac.
Pac-Man speeds into Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds

As part of the upcoming Season Pass, Pac-Man and his rival ghosts will hit the tracks in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. They’ll be racing not only alongside Sonic and friends but also crossover guests from series like Minecraft and SpongeBob.
Even better, the update includes a new track inspired by Pac-Man’s arcade legacy, blending both modern and classic designs. This content is set to roll out in early 2026.
Sonic joins the Pac in World 2 Re-Pac
On the flip side, Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac is also getting the blue blur. A special Sonic-themed DLC pack arrives in late 2025, bringing extra stages, costumes, and nods to Sega’s speedy hero.
Release dates for both titles
The crossover news comes just ahead of two big launches:
- Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds releases on September 25, 2025, with an open network test happening this month.
- Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac follows a day later, on September 26, 2025.
Two legends, two timelines
By linking Sonic and Pac-Man across two franchises, Sega and Bandai Namco are giving fans a nostalgic crossover that spans decades of gaming history. One mascot defined the arcades, the other redefined speed—and soon, they’ll both share the spotlight again.
Fans of both series are already buzzing about what these collaborations could mean for the future. With Sega and Bandai Namco showing a willingness to mix their mascots, there’s growing hope this is just the start of more crossovers that celebrate gaming’s biggest icons.
