Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds just wrapped its Open Network Test, but SEGA isn’t hitting the brakes yet. The publisher has confirmed that a free demo is coming in mid-September, giving fans another chance to test-drive the upcoming racer ahead of launch.

SEGA shared the news at the close of the network test, stating that the upcoming demo will be a purely offline experience, focused entirely on single-player gameplay. That means no online matchmaking or multiplayer racing this time, just solo laps with Sonic and friends.
More specific details haven’t been released yet, but SEGA promises further info “soon.” Given that the full game launches on September 25 for Nintendo Switch 1, the demo is likely to arrive at least a week early to give players time to try it out.
