The new model of Sony’s high-end headphone series, the WH-1000XM6, will be officially introduced on May 15. Sony will use the QN3 processor for the first time in its flagship headphones. With the new processor, significant improvements are expected in noise cancellation performance and sound quality.
Sony is here with its new high-end headphone model
According to leaked information, the noise cancellation technology will work with higher accuracy in the WH-1000XM6 thanks to the QN3 processor. While the company’s existing technology in this area is considered a reference point in the sector, it is stated that the new processor will take this performance one step further.

On the design side, significant changes will be made to the device. For example, the hinge mechanism of the headphone has been renewed. Thanks to this mechanism, the headphone can be folded more easily and takes up less space when carried in a bag. This update will provide a portability advantage, especially for users who travel frequently.
There is also information that the new model may be water resistant. However, this feature has not been officially confirmed by Sony. If the waterproof feature is added, the device may become suitable for a wider range of usage scenarios.
Sony has not yet announced the price of the WH-1000XM6. However, the product is expected to be sold with a price tag of around $400. The introduction of the new model will be held immediately after the company’s event for the Xperia 1 VII smartphone.
