Sony Interactive Entertainment is offering an unexpected gift to selected PSN users: according to an image shared by Reddit user BusNo1748, Sony has started sending some users a 14-day free PS Plus Premium membership code. The Reddit user mentioned receiving the PS Plus code shortly after their subscription expired and they did not renew it.
Do not renew your subscription for a while to get the PS Plus code
This offer from Sony seems to be related to the expiration of current PS Plus subscription plans. It’s unlikely that active subscribers would receive such notifications or codes. However, users whose subscriptions have expired are advised to check their PSN notifications.
Some Reddit users have reported that even users who have never subscribed to PS Plus before are starting to receive notifications for a 14-day free trial. Sony likely aims to introduce the benefits of three different PS Plus models to new users and encourage former subscribers to resubscribe.
A 14-day PS Plus Premium subscription provides users with access to a wide range of PS4 and PS5 games. Recent additions to PS Plus Extra and Premium include titles like Monster Hunter Rise, Football Manager 2024, Crusader Kings III, Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame 6, After Us, Anno 1800, Police Simulator: Patrol Officers, Far Cry 4, and various LEGO games.
