Sony is expanding its product range in the field of portable audio systems. The company has officially announced the Sony ULT Field 3 and Sony ULT Field 5 speaker models featuring the latest ULT audio technology. Combining durability, portability and high audio performance, the devices are specifically designed for outdoor use.
Sony announces portable ULT Field speakers
Sony ULT Field 3 comes with an 83mm × 46mm X-Balanced mid-bass driver and a 20mm dome tweeter with passive radiator support. Thanks to this hardware combination, the device can reach a peak sound of 85 decibels.
The ULT technology in the speaker amplifies low frequencies through a dedicated button and offers users a full-size speaker experience. With MIL-STD-810H and IP67 certifications, Sony ULT Field 3 withstands harsh outdoor conditions.
The product provides up to 24 hours of usage time on a full charge. In addition, 2 hours of additional time can be obtained with a 10-minute charge. The device, which also has a Powerbank feature, has a price tag of $ 193.
Sony ULT Field 5 model offers a more powerful sound experience. The device features a 107mm × 79mm woofer, dual 46mm tweeters and passive radiators on the sides. Thanks to this structure, the speaker reaches 91 decibel sound level and 110W maximum output power.
Offering 48kHz/24-bit ADC audio support via 3.5mm jack input, the product provides a wide sound range. Sony ULT Field 5, which establishes a wireless connection via Bluetooth 5.3, promises up to 25 hours of usage time. The device also features RGB light strips. The product will be available for 318 dollars.
