Sony has finalized preparations for its latest flagship smartphone. The company is preparing to launch the Xperia 5 V in just a few days. While Sony is keeping mum on the specifications of the device, previous leaks show what we can expect from the new model.
What does the Xperia 5 V promise?
Sony will unveil the Xperia 5 V at an event on September 1st. The launch in Japan will officially reveal the flagship that has been leaked for the past months.
The Xperia 5 V is expected to be more compact compared to Sony’s other flagships. This means it will have a screen smaller than 6.5 inches. However, it seems to follow the Xperi 1 V and 10 V models in terms of design.
The Xperia 5 V is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. A previously leaked Geekbench listing indicated that the phone will have 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. It is thought to be powered by a 5000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging.
With the Xperia 5 V, Sony aims to offer both a compact and performance-oriented smartphone. On September 1st, the device will be released in Japan and it is unclear whether it will come to global.
