Recently, it was announced that the renowned space technology company SpaceX had planned a cargo mission. The space mission, which has been constantly faced with delays due to various reasons, can finally take place tomorrow after the latest postponement. The launch, scheduled for Monday, June 5th, will be broadcasted live starting at 18:45 Turkish time. Here are the details:
SpaceX rocket will be launched tomorrow.
As known, SpaceX is responsible for the cargo missions of the international space station under NASA’s supervision. With the cargo mission to be carried out tomorrow, SpaceX will achieve its twenty-eighth successful delivery in the program, using its Falcon 9 rocket. The launch operation, which will be conducted through NASA’s Kennedy Space Center located in Florida, will be officially broadcasted on SpaceX’s official YouTube channel.
Actually, the launch was planned for Saturday, June 3rd. However, due to unfavorable weather conditions during the launch process and the need for additional preparation time, a 24-hour delay decision was made. The company repeated this decision on Sunday, and it is expected that they will not be able to carry out the scheduled flight tomorrow either.
With the mission to be carried out to the international space station under NASA’s supervision, the transfer of the capsule named Dragon will be ensured. The capsule, which contains important content such as new equipment to be used in space research, materials to meet the station’s needs, and basic necessities for astronauts, will reach the station shortly after the SpaceX launch, if it takes place.
If the launch operation cannot be carried out as planned on Monday, June 5th, it will most likely be rescheduled for Wednesday, June 7th.
