Spotify confirmed that it is investigating issues with Premium users hearing adverts. Although Spotify Premium subscribers have advantages such as offline music listening and ad-free use, some users have reportedly encountered ads.
Spotify also shows adverts to Premium subscribers!
According to the information revealed today, Spotify Premium users expressed their complaints in the official community forum, stating that they heard advertisements on Android, iOS and web versions. With the increase in these complaints, Spotify’s technical teams began to examine the situation.

Users stated that adverts suddenly appeared between the music they were listening to and that this was constantly repeated. Some users even suggested that this problem is more common on certain devices and platforms.
A Spotify representative also announced that technical teams are investigating this situation in detail and trying to determine the cause of the problem. The company asked affected users to share information about the device model and operating system version, application version (if they are not using a web player), the type of ad they encountered, and possible solution steps they tried.
They were also requested to upload a video of the moment the problem was seen, if possible. In line with this information, the source of the problem is being tried to be reached. So, although this problem has been recognised, the cause is not yet known.
Spotify had previously received individual notifications of similar problems. However, the current situation is thought to be a mistake rather than a deliberate change. The official statement made by the company is that they continue to work to solve this problem, which negatively affects the experience of Premium users.
