Spotify is raising subscription fees worldwide. According to the information reported by the Financial Times, the company will increase subscription fees by 1 Euro in Europe and Latin America in June.

Spotify has started price increases in some countries such as the Netherlands and Luxembourg in recent weeks. Sources close to the subject state that price increases will become more widespread in the summer period.

There is also the possibility of a new hike for users in Turkey. Spotify, the last time in Turkey had gone to the price update in February 2025. The individual subscription package was increased from 39.99 TL to 59.99 TL, and the Duo package was increased from 54.99 TL to 79.99 TL.
The family package was increased from 64.99 TL to 99.99 TL, and the student package was increased from 21.99 TL to 32.99 TL. A new increase decision for Turkey has not yet been announced. However, considering the global increase wave, there is a possibility that the prices will be updated again.
The music industry has long been pressuring digital streaming platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music to increase their prices. Industry representatives state that music platforms lag behind inflation rates and are priced lower compared to video streaming services.
It was also reported that the companies are preparing to offer a new subscription option called ‘Super Premium’. This new package is expected to offer additional benefits such as early access to music and concert tickets.
