Valve’s digital gaming platform set a new record by reaching an unprecedented number of concurrent players in the last 24 hours. This demonstrates Steam’s continued leadership in the PC gaming market. The record for the number of instant players was set by Black Myth: Wukong.
What was the Steam concurrent player count?
According to statistics from Valve, Steam had more than 37.27 million simultaneous active users yesterday. This means it surpassed its previous record of 36.3 million, set last July. The platform’s growth and strong demand for new games cannot be ignored.
One of the main reasons for the new record is the recent release of Black Myth: Wukong. As a long-awaited new game, Wukong’s popularity has grown rapidly, probably due to the interest of many gamers.
Of course, not all new games live up to expectations. The PlayStation exclusive Concord was not loved by PC gamers, even though it did great things on the console. Accordingly, it remained at the limit of 100-200 active players on Steam.
Steam’s core games like Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2 and PUBG: Battlegrounds, which also has a significant number of users on core games such as Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2 and PUBG: Battlegrounds. This record also shows how much Steam and PC gaming has grown.
