Steam seems to be thriving. According to the latest reports, the platform has reached an all-time high in concurrent player numbers. Here are the updated player stats for Steam!
Steam Breaks Player Record
According to SteamDB, a source known for its insights on Steam, the platform hit an all-time high of 39,342,021 concurrent users. The previous record was set last December.
Of course, not all of these users were actively playing games. To clarify, at the time of this record-breaking number, over 12 million users were actually in-game. In short, this record primarily reflects platform activity rather than just gameplay.
The record was likely influenced by the success of newly released games such as Marvel Rivals and Path of Exile 2. Both titles have attracted a significant player base since their launches.
