Tesla is finally bringing Cybertruck, the electric pickup model it first introduced in 2019, to customers. The electric car giant will distribute Cybertruck at a delivery event at the end of this month. Invitations for the event have started to be sent to the winners of the lottery.
Tesla Cybertruck owners finally get their vehicles
Tesla Head of Investor Relations Martin Viecha confirmed on Twitter that they will hold a delivery event on November 30th. He stated that all invitations were distributed after the participants were selected in a lottery held last week.
The special delivery ceremony is planned to be held at Gigafactory Texas. The official invitation shared on social media revealed other details of the event. Tesla also allows lucky customers to bring a guest to celebrate the Cybertrucks.
Tesla will also prevent Cybertruck owners from selling their vehicles within the first year of taking delivery. According to the company’s vehicle order terms, customers will also agree not to sell the vehicle within a year. Even those who sell their vehicles will be sued for 50 thousand dollars in damages.
Tesla’s decisions actually prevent the limited production Cybertruck from becoming a collector’s item. It also prevents the transfer of software such as FSD (Full Self-Driving) with the vehicle to someone else.
On the other hand, it was stated that hundreds of Cybertruck parts were seen at Gigafactory Texas ahead of the delivery event. This means that Tesla is ramping up production ahead of the event on November 30. However, it is unclear for now how many Cybertrucks the company will give at the delivery ceremony.
