Interesting details about Microsoft’s next game console have surfaced. According to leaks shared by the YouTube channel Moore’s Law Is Dead, the new Xbox, expected to be released in 2027, will attract attention with its performance while also putting a strain on budgets with its high price tag.
The next-generation Xbox will make a difference
This console is rumored to be priced between $800 and $1,200. This figure is significantly higher than the price of the current Xbox Series X.

The rumors center on Microsoft’s shift in strategy due to the failure of the current Xbox Series generation to achieve the success it expected. The company plans to transform the new Xbox from a traditional console into a hybrid.
The goal is to make the device both a powerful game console and a gaming PC. In line with this strategy, the new Xbox will reportedly support not only the Microsoft Store but also popular PC platforms such as Steam and the Epic Games Store.
According to reports, the new console is powered by an APU (Accelerated Processing Unit) based on AMD’s RDNA 5 architecture. This chip has a 408 mm² die area, making it 46 percent larger than the processor planned for the PlayStation 6. TSMC’s advanced 3nm (N3P) process is used for its production.
The console’s technical specifications are also quite robust. The processor will feature an 11-core Zen 6 architecture. A GPU with 70 compute units will be used for graphics performance. This architecture will also be complemented by an XDNA 3 Neural Processing Unit (NPU) with 110 TOPS for AI performance.
On the memory front, the console is expected to feature a 192-bit memory bus and support for up to 48GB of GDDR7 memory, although the exact memory capacity has not yet been announced. All these performance increases suggest that Microsoft is taking significant risks in the next console war and aiming to shift the market balance.
