Japanese automotive manufacturer Suzuki has announced its new compact SUV model, the Across. Scheduled for release in 2026, this vehicle shares no common features with its namesake, the Toyota RAV4, currently on sale in the European market.
Suzuki Across Officially Announced
The newly introduced model is presented as an export version of the Suzuki Victoris, manufactured in India, prepared for global markets. Suzuki will initially launch the new Across in 100 different countries, starting with South Africa and the Seychelles.

The entry-level package is priced under $20,000. Continuing the angular and sharp lines of the Vitara, the Across, at 4.36 meters in length, has similar dimensions to the Dacia Duster.
Inside, technological features are noteworthy. Higher trim levels include a 10.1-inch multimedia screen, a digital instrument panel, and a virtual instrument cluster projected onto the windshield as standard. Additionally, users can enjoy comfort-focused features such as a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree surround view camera, an electric tailgate, and adaptive cruise control.
In terms of the engine, initially a 1.5-liter gasoline unit producing 103 horsepower is available. Supported by 12V SHVS mild hybrid technology, this engine offers an average fuel consumption of 4.7 liters per 100 kilometers.
A fully hybrid version with 116 horsepower is planned to be added to the product range in the future. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic, while all-wheel drive is available as an option.
