The alleged new Joy-Con designs for the Nintendo Switch 2 console have been revealed in a video shared on Reddit. While there is no definitive confirmation of the designs, some of the changes highlighted in the video are sure to excite Nintendo fans. Here are the changes that emerged…
Nintendo Switch 2’s new Joy-Cons come with three big changes
One of the most striking changes in the video is the “black window” detail under both Joy-Cons. These windows are rumored to house IR motion cameras. This is similar to the IR sensors found on the right Joy-Con on current Switch models, but this time they could be on both controllers.
The rear trigger buttons on the new Joy-Cons have a more ergonomic design. A long and curved design will offer a more comfortable use. However, some fans may be concerned about the alleged removal of the “clicky” L and R buttons on current Switch models. Instead, a more modern design approach has been adopted.
The video suggests that the SL and SR buttons have been increased in size and that these buttons may be small linear triggers instead of standard buttons. However, the video ends here and no further information is given. Other than that, Nintendo Switch 2 is expected to be announced in January 2025.
By the way, the details in the video have not yet been officially confirmed. We will have to wait a little longer to find out if the claims in the video are true. You can access the full video here.
