Tecno introduced its second generation foldable phones, the Phantom V Fold2 and Phantom V Flip2 5G models. Both devices stand out with more powerful processors, advanced display and innovative design.
Tecno Phantom V Fold2 and V Flip2
The horizontally foldable Phantom V Fold2 features a 6.42-inch external display and a 7.85-inch main folding display. Both displays come with an LTPO AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. Thanks to a special technology called FreeForm, the phone can be folded at different angles.
Powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ processor, the device will be available with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. It features a triple camera system consisting of a 50 Megapixel main, 50 Megapixel ultra-wide and 50 Megapixel portrait lens. It is also powered by a 5750 mAh battery.
The vertically foldable Phantom V Flip2 stands out with a significantly larger 3.64-inch outer screen than its predecessor. The 6.9-inch internal display uses an LTPO AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. It features a dual camera system consisting of a 50 Megapixel main and 50 Megapixel ultra-wide lens.
The V Flip2 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8020 chipset and powered by a 4720 mAh battery with 70W fast charging support.
Both phones are powered by Ella AI, Tecno’s artificial intelligence assistant, and promise a durability of more than 400,000 folds. The Phantom V Fold2 starts at $1099 and the V Flip2 starts at $699.
