Telegram has updated its Android and iOS apps to version 11.13.0 as of July 2025. The most notable innovations that come with the new version include direct monetization mechanisms through content, checklists, and tools to increase user engagement in channels.
Telegram unveils new features
The checklist feature offered to Telegram Premium subscribers aims to facilitate individual or team-based task management. Users can now create a to-do list in any chat.

Detailed permissions can be set in these lists, such as which users can mark items or add new tasks. The feature can be used in one-on-one conversations, groups, and saved messages.
One of the changes made to channels is the suggested posts system. With this system, users can directly suggest content to the channels they follow. These posts prepared for sharing are sent to the channel manager as a message, and options such as timing and content approval are left to the channel owner.
Suggested content is not only supported for sharing, but also with a financial incentive system. Users who suggest content can offer rewards to channel managers for their posts to be published using Telegram Stars or Toncoin. The reward is automatically delivered 24 hours after the post is shared.
If the post is removed early, the payment is refunded. It is possible to earn a large amount of stars through Fragment or @PremiumBot. According to Telegram, Star payments can be refunded within 21 days, but there is no refund option for Toncoin payments.
Telegram states that this system allows content collection and affiliate promotions without leaving the application. At the same time, privacy is emphasized; the content flow is managed within Telegram and without redirecting to external sources.
