China-based e-commerce platform Temu is demonstrating remarkable growth in the Turkish market. According to data released by Gemius, Temu’s monthly active users in Turkey increased by 314 percent in the past year, reaching 29 million as of July 2025. The platform, which had approximately 7 million users in the same month last year, has quadrupled its reach within a year.
Temu Reaches 29 Million Users in the Turkish Market
The platform recorded its highest monthly reach in January 2025, with 31 million users. Of the 29 million visits in July, 20 million occurred via the mobile app and 14 million via the website. An average of 86 page views per visitor per month was recorded. This data demonstrates a high level of user engagement on the platform.

The demographic distribution of its user base also clarifies Temu’s position in the Turkish market. The largest user group is individuals aged 25-34, followed by those aged 35-44. In terms of gender, 55 percent of users are men and 45 percent are women.
Temu has strengthened its local operations by opening a physical warehouse in Turkey. This step is considered part of the platform’s long-term investment plans for Turkey. The warehouse is expected to speed up logistics processes and increase user satisfaction.
Another piece of data shared by Gemius concerns Temu users’ interaction with other major e-commerce platforms in Turkey. 41 percent of Temu users also visited Trendyol during the same period.
The shared user ratio with Hepsiburada was recorded at 31 percent and with Amazon at 25 percent. These figures demonstrate that Temu is in direct competition with other major platforms.
Temu has experienced a significant surge in the Turkish market in a short period of time, and its growth is expected to both intensify competition in the sector and shift market balances in the coming period.
