Tesla has solved one of the biggest problems facing electric vehicle owners: having to use different charging stations with separate apps. The company has announced a new feature, “Tesla MultiPass.” This feature allows Tesla owners to use not only the Supercharger network but also third-party charging stations through their own Tesla accounts.

The system is currently only available in the Netherlands. However, it is expected to expand to other European countries in the future. This feature eliminates the need to download apps from different charging network providers, create new memberships, or enter card information. Tesla drivers can manage all their charging processes from a single screen.

MultiPass displays nearby third-party charging stations from the in-car display or the Tesla app, allowing them to start charging directly from them. There are two ways to start charging: using the Tesla key card or selecting the relevant charging station through the Tesla app. All payments are processed automatically through users’ Tesla accounts, and past charging information can also be viewed within the app.
The feature works through a vast network of thousands of charging stations, giving drivers access to over 1,000 charging providers across Europe. No additional registration is required to take advantage of MultiPass. All Tesla owners are automatically enrolled in the system, and users simply activate the feature through the app.
