Tesla has introduced a new version for its electric pick-up model Cybertruck. This version is rear-wheel drive (RWD), single engine and has a price tag of $ 70,000. The model, which is now available for order on Tesla’s official website, at first glance seems more expensive than the previously announced $ 62,000 RWD version, but it makes a difference with its high range value.
Tesla Cybertruck is here with its new model
The new Cybertruck RWD version can travel approximately 563 kilometres on a single charge. In addition, Tesla stated that the range can increase up to 583 kilometres with the optional ‘soft roof cover’ accessory, which is available for $ 750.

These values suggest that Tesla is using a high-capacity battery pack in this model. The same battery pack is also used in the dual-motor Cybertruck and performance-oriented Cyberbeast models already on sale.
However, Tesla has removed some important equipment from this model. For example, the light bar at the rear, electrical outlets in the bed, rear passenger display, adaptive suspension system and electric hard roof cover are not included in this model.
Production of the new version is planned to start shortly and deliveries are planned to be made by June 2025. Tesla’s move was evaluated as part of its strategy to offer more diversity in its product range.
On the other hand, the fate of Tesla’s previously announced first RWD model with a price tag of $ 62,000 is still unclear. It is not yet clear whether the company has completely cancelled this version.
