Tesla, the leader in the electric car world, has received exciting news for iPhone users. According to Bloomberg’s latest claim, Tesla has begun work on adding Apple CarPlay support. This development could greatly please many drivers, even though Tesla already boasts one of the world’s best infotainment systems.
Why Is Tesla’s Apple CarPlay Support Important?
iPhone users place great importance on the CarPlay infrastructure. Therefore, Tesla, recognizing this, has begun internal testing to offer CarPlay in its Model series vehicles. This support is a critical step, especially for users who want seamless smartphone integration. Furthermore, if this claim is true, Tesla will further personalize the user experience in its vehicles.

Tesla recently introduced the trimmed-down Model Y Standard alongside the Model 3 Standard. The Model Y Standard and Model 3 Standard are the company’s most affordable vehicles. Among these new vehicles, the new version of the Model Y, also sold in Turkey, stands out. For example, the Model 3 Standard comes with a panoramic glass roof, while the Model Y Standard is available with a retractable glass roof.
Many features have been removed from the standard equipment list in the new versions. Additionally, the vehicles lack standard ambient lighting, rear display, and light bars. Trimmed-down models feature an audio system with fewer speakers.
Features such as rear seat heating, front seat cooling, and a HEPA filter have also been removed. Furthermore, auto-dimming mirrors and adaptive headlights are not available on these models. Tesla has opted for fabric-backed seats and a simpler suspension system in these vehicles. The Model Y Standard, likely to be sold in Turkey, is based on a single 300-horsepower electric motor. Equipped with a 69 kWh battery, these vehicles are reported to have a range of 521 km. Finally, the Model Y Standard accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds, while the Model 3 Standard accelerates in 5.8 seconds.
